Being a B Corp is more than just certification: it's proof of a measured, sustainable commitment. This international label distinguishes companies that combine economic performance, positive social impact and respect for the environment, on the basis of the B Impact Assessment and a minimum score of 80 points.
The Governance pillar looks at the company's mission, ethics, transparency and the way it integrates social and environmental impact into its bylaws and decision-making. It also assesses the quality of information shared (via a sustainability report, for example), the involvement of management and the diversity of governance bodies.
For ANSAM, acting on this pillar means: formalizing an impact mission in the articles of association, regularly publishing a structured sustainability report, setting measurable objectives (climate, social, inclusion) and involving management and, if possible, an impact committee in monitoring these objectives.
The Employees pillar evaluates HR practices: working conditions, health and safety, compensation levels and fairness, benefits, skills development and the quality of social dialogue. It also looks at inclusion, diversity and team participation in the decisions that affect them.
ANSAM can strengthen this pillar by: putting forward a clear policy of decent wages, equality (gender, origin, age), a continuous training plan, well-being at work schemes, as well as regular consultation forums (internal surveys, workshops, co-construction of CSR strategy) presented in the sustainability report.
The Community pillar focuses on the company's impact on its territory and society: relations with suppliers, support for the local economy, diversity and inclusion, contributions to general interest projects or associations. It also takes into account the way in which the company identifies and manages the impacts of its value chain (responsible purchasing, respect for human rights, etc.).
For ANSAM, acting at this level can mean giving preference to local or committed suppliers, integrating social and environmental criteria into purchasing, supporting local initiatives (skills sponsorship, associative partnerships) and making these commitments visible and quantified in the sustainability report.
The Environment pillar measures how the company limits its ecological footprint: energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, water, raw materials, transport and choice of materials. It rewards companies that set clear objectives (emissions reduction, energy efficiency, circularity) and track their progress over time.
ANSAM can illustrate its action by: measuring its emissions and consumption (carbon footprint, energy, waste), defining quantified reduction targets, choosing more sober solutions (eco-design, responsible digital, soft mobility) and including annual monitoring indicators in the sustainability report.
The Customer pillar looks at the impact of products and services on users and society: quality, safety, social or environmental value created, transparency of information and responsible data management. It also looks at how the company takes into account the satisfaction, feedback and protection of customers, particularly vulnerable groups.
For ANSAM, acting here means: designing offers that meet social or environmental needs, clearly documenting benefits for customers, protecting data with high standards, setting up structured feedback mechanisms and showing concrete examples of positive impact generated for customers.
ANSAM's internal sustainability report is the central tool for monitoring our impact and commitments. It is intended for all our stakeholders, and summarizes our indicators, objectives and action plans on key issues for the Group. It makes our progress visible, and serves as a basis for guiding decisions, prioritizing projects and developing ANSAM's sustainability strategy year after year.
Measuring our carbon impact requires clear, measurable KPIs, as well as a constant effort to collect and update our data every year. To this end, we use the Greenly platform, which transforms our business data into emissions indicators and assesses the maturity of our climate strategy. This approach has been recognized with a silver medal for the quality and depth of the data we report.
